Add the four sides of the opening together. A 1.2 by 1 metre window comes to 4.4 metres, and it is worth rounding up so a bad cut does not cost you a second order.
Yes. It trims to length with a fine-toothed saw or a sharp blade. Cut a fraction long and take the last millimetre off with a file for a tidy joint.

Yes. Ordering the total length and cutting it into two or three frames is usually cheaper than buying separate kits.
The window screen frames in this range sit in the opening rather than being fixed through the reveal, which is what makes them straightforward in a rented flat.
It is made for a window opening, so it lives in the reveal rather than fully exposed. Like any PVC it becomes more brittle in hard frost, which matters most when you are handling it.
We do not publish a UV rating for this profile, so we will not claim it is fade-proof. A south-facing window is always harder on any plastic than a north-facing one.
Paint rarely bonds well to PVC without proper preparation and it can flake into the mesh. Buying the colour you want is the better route, and there are three.
It is possible but it puts a weak point in the middle of a side that carries the mesh tension. For a wide opening, order a single length that covers the run.
This product is the frame profile only. If the mesh also needs replacing, the replacement flyscreen mesh is sold separately.
It is sold in whole metres. Round up and keep the offcut, which is useful the next time a corner or a short side needs replacing.
No minimum, though delivery is free once the basket reaches EUR 60.
A kit arrives with everything cut and ready for one standard size. This is raw length for a size we do not stock or for a repair.
Cut opposite sides to exactly the same length and check the diagonals match before pushing the last corner home. A frame that is out of square will not sit flat in the opening.
The same profile carries the mesh options in this range. If you are planning something heavier than what we sell, ask first rather than assume.
No. It is a window screen profile. A doorway needs the magnetic door screen range, which is built for constant handling.
The mesh is held in the profile channel. Work from the middle of each side outwards so the tension stays even and the mesh does not pull to one corner.
Keep it. Short offcuts are exactly what you need next time one side of a smaller frame gets damaged.
Nothing stops you, though on a window that faces the street most people match all four sides.
Flat and supported along their length. A length left leaning in a corner for a season will take a bow that you cannot cut out.
